We all belong and there is no wrong way to PTA.

The Justice Page PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) is made up of parents, Justice Page staff and community members, who all pool their resources and talents to provide community engagement and practical support for our school.

We'd love to see you at a meeting!  You don't have to RSVP to come, but it helps us prepare.  As a PTA, we are only as strong as the teachers, caregivers, and community members who participate and would love to have YOU get involved.   There are no financial commitments, special skills or time requirements to get involved.

PTA MISSION
The Justice Page Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a partnership between parents, teachers, students, and the community. Our mission is to make every child’s potential a reality. The PTA advocates for a safe, positive, inclusive learning environment so that every Justice Page student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

PTA VALUES
We will work to serve and advocate for JPMS students and families. This includes promoting academic excellence and helping to create a friendly, nurturing environment that honors the diversity of our community. It is also a forum for parents to obtain knowledge and voice their opinions and solutions.  The real working capital of a PTA lies in its members, not in its treasury. Fundraising is not a primary function of PTA.

We focus on:

STUDENTS

PTA's #1 focus is to provide enrichment for every Justice Page student. We do this by contributing classroom materials and supplies outside the MPS budget. PTA helps with transportation costs and scholarships for field trips. PTA also provides assemblies and speakers throughout the school year. The Rhino Store goodies are funded to promote positive reinforcement for hard work and good deeds. We provide JPS Spirit wear to increase a sense of community. PTA also collaborates with students to design and print a JPS annual yearbook. We support student and family engagement by organizing and funding parties, and events inside and outside of school in order to build strong community and connection.

TEACHERS

PTA provides materials for the classroom via teacher wishlists that are outside the MPS budget. We also fund various materials for SEL (social-emotional learning) inside and outside the classroom, including a "zen-den" for our occupational therapist. We organize and fund staff meals during conferences, and scheduled appreciation events throughout the school year for our hard-working staff and educators.

SCHOOL

PTA supports school staff in recruiting volunteers for daily lunchroom help, and special school events. PTA also helps with ongoing beautification efforts in order to make our school welcoming.

PARENTS/CAREGIVERS

Ensure communication via PTA website, PTA Facebook page, and PTA newsletters, offer forums for family input, create caregiver connections, volunteer opportunities, and encourage donations and participation through school activities.

ADVOCACY
PTA speaks for every child with one voice. As the largest volunteer child advocacy organization in the nation, we are the conscience of the country for issues affecting children and youth. Each year National PTA publishes a public policy platform that outlines policy priorities and recommendations for Congress.
